Meal prep gets a bad rap — endless containers, soggy salads, the same sad chicken five days running. It doesn’t have to be that way. The trick isn’t cooking more on Sunday; it’s cooking smart and freezing flat.
Cook once, freeze flat
Fill your boxes, snap the divider lid, and stack them flat in the freezer. Flat-freezing means they thaw evenly and you can fit a whole week into one drawer. Label the lid with a grease pencil if you’re feeding a crowd.
Cook from frozen
This is where silicone earns its keep. Straight from the freezer into the air-fryer at 200°C, or the microwave with the lid vented. No transferring to another dish, no thawing the night before.
Rinse and repeat
Top-rack dishwasher, every time. By Saturday your boxes are clean and ready for the next round. One set replaces a year of foil pans — and your future self will thank you.
